Welcome to the IQRA’ ACADEMY web site. ‘IQRA’ in Arabic means to read or recite. These were the first words uttered by the angel Gabriel to Prophet Muhammad () ordering him to read. The name of the school was chosen not only for the significance it has in Islamic history but also for its broader meaning in encouraging the love of learning in all of its wonderful forms and its noble pursuit at any cost.
In a famous Hadith (authentic saying) of the Prophet Muhammad (), he is quoted as saying; “you should seek knowledge even if your quest takes you to China”.
This seeking of knowledge is defined at IQRA’ ACADEMY to include a combination of the academic, spiritual, athletic and artistic realms. An all encompassing education directed at graduating young adults who will have the necessary tools to succeed in all of life’s spheres.

VISION
The foundation of the Islamic way of life is based on belief and righteous conduct. Faith begins with belief in One God; Allah (Creator of all creations). As a result of this belief we, (The followers), strive to please ALLAH. Islamic education reflects that all knowledge comes from Allah. The evaluation and the application of all knowledge comes from the Qur’an and the example of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). It is this Islamization of traditional knowledge that encourages the development of a positive Islamic identity for students.
MISSION
The mission of IQRA’ ACADEMY is to guide our children toward the full realization of their spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and social potentials as they serve Islam and humanity for the pleasure of Allah (SWT). Our school has a comprehensive program of meaningful, value-based learning experiences in an Islamic environment. We believe that our children can develop the first step here; which is a firm relationship with the Creator- Allah (SWT), followed by the development of Islamic personality capable of identifying, understanding and working cooperatively with others. This will provide our children with a method of solving the problems that they will face as individuals, community members, and as global participants. This is the essence of excellence in Islamic education.
